We have discussed, in summary, "What is Insulin" and the most common "Rapid-Acting and Slow-Acting" Insulin forms. But the following is a quick list to understand other elements and components of insulin: 
  • Intermediate Acting Insulin - Can last in system for 12 to 18 hours
  • Long Acting Insulin - Can work up to 24 hours
  • Storing Insulin - Leave it a room temperature when open, in the fridge when unopened, and never use it when expired (check the date)
  • ​Inhalable Insulin - Powder like insulin that reaches the bloodstream within seconds
  • Always consult a doctor to find the right type of insulin if diabetic
  • ​When injecting insulin, no the right way to (a) roll, (b) sticking the syringe and needle, (c) measure, and (d) taking the needle out.
