Diabetes is ubiquitous in our society and has become a severe epidemic. It is the chronic disease that involves the inability for the body to produce insulin, act in response to insulin production, and not being able to break down sugars. Insulin is secreted by the pancreas from glucose, which is stored as muscle glycogen or converted into fat. Physical inactivity can lead to the development of insulin resistance and intolerance to glucose.

here are two types of diabetic groups which is Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus (or Type I), which is a disorder of the immune system attacking pancreas cells reducing insulin release or Non-Insulin Dependent Diabetes mellitus (or Type II), which is a metabolic disorder of insulin resistance characterized by hyperglycemia (the majority of Type II cases are preventable).

Diabetes risk factors that should be known include obesity, high cholesterol, family history, age, pregnancy, inactivity, stress, some medications, and stress. However, physical activity and exercise does improve metabolic responses, glucose tolerance, and insulin sensitivity. Proper dieting and both endurance and resistance exercise can help prevent, treat, and in some cases cure Type II diabetes.
