Do You Know Your Abs Part III

It is actually more efficient to not train your abs everyday. Why? 

Well because: 
  • With a proper workout routine you are indirectly working you core. For instance, squatting (we are big fans of front and bulgarian squats), deadlifting, and presses require core stabilization (which basically requires your abs to work). 
  • Your abs are like any muscle group. To fully grow they need recovering time. 

Does that mean I shouldn't work them directly: 
  • We believe that YOU SHOULD work them out directly
  • No more than 3x a week, and no less than 1x a week- therefore, the sweet spot is twice a week
  • And do not forget to remember that your lower back has a positive correlation to your abs, as they are all part of your core. 

You should continually stimulate your core, and train them directly with proper rest.
