Introduction:
When talking about eggs, what comes through our minds? For many years, society has labeled eggs as a detriment to your diet, due to the high amounts of cholesterol and fats. However, is all that really true? Eggs may have higher amounts of cholesterol (nearly 200 mg), but it is mainly dietary (and they only have 5 to 6 grams of fat). Moreover, what matters is where those nutrients come from. If we put into perspective, eggs are low caloric (70 calories) packed with superfood nutrition (especially if you compare it to the typical American breakfast of bacon or sausages). But the proof is in the egg, so let us break down the nutritional content:

Medium Sized Egg:
· 70 calories
· 5 grams of fat
· 6 grams of protein
· 0 carbohydrates and effectively 0 sugars
· Vitamin D, B-12, and A
· 1 gram of saturated fat
· 200mg of cholesterol

Benefits:
Now, answer my question, what is so bad about this little item? With moderation, nothing! Again, this type of cholesterol has been shown to be mainly dietary, and when we consume them, only a minimal amount of the cholesterol enters our bloodstream. Moreover, it has good amounts of protein, which we evidently know it is great for muscle building and maintenance. Moreover, it has 4 grams of essential unsaturated fats; these are the fats that help develop proper brain functionality. Eggs are just simply good for everyone, from body builders to pregnant women. And as stated before, the amount of vitamins and nutrients eggs have are great for the fetus development of the brain. Also, they are conducive to maintaining a healthy weight.

The amounts of eggs one can eat in a week are determined by your goals and the amount of calories you burn in a day. Just as a precaution, if you suffer from high cholesterol, you might only want to consume 3 eggs per week. But if you are as healthy as a horse, you can have up to 7-10. I personally know athletes who eat up to 30 in one week and their cholesterol levels are great.

Imagine all the types of ways you can make eggs. You can make them sunny side up, scrambled, boiled, or poached. When scrambling or making them sunny side up, you can use cooking spray to minimize the calories of the oils.  And just think about having a two egg omelet, with your favorite veggies and additions, while simultaneously adding nutrients and vitamins to your system.

Takeaway:
Eggs are a superfood and do not be derailed of eating them for an illogical myth. When you have delicious foods, it will improve your everyday performance, and it will make you the best you can be. Oh, one little fact I forgot to mention about eggs, they are ALL-NATURAL!
