To best your economic resources, there may be a time where a company requires a Cover Letter during their application process. That impression allows you to keep the integrity and value of your story, which would be capped off by your resume.

Before providing a format, keep the following in mind: (1) the letter should be a one page high level summary of yourself and why you deserve the job and (2) the breakdown should be broken down in four sections/paragraphs which are the following:

1. Talk about your interest in the company, how you found out about the position, and your value to the job description.
2. Reference your most relevant skills and work history.
3. Explain why you chose the company, while providing evidence on the company’s achievements.
4. Conclusion, while leaving your contact information for further communication.

Example “Cover Letter” [Brackets indicate where you must fill in your information]:
[Today’s Date]
[Recipient’s Name]
[Recipient’s Street]
[Recipient’s City, State Zip Code]

Dear [Recipient’s Name]:

I am interested in applying for the [position] that I heard about through [describe the medium you heard about the opportunity]. I am seeking to align myself with [the company’s name], and more specifically, bring innovation while sustaining value. Essentially, I seek to bring my scope [explain the specific experience you bring], by completing [list goals, duties, and job descriptions relevant to the company you are applying for].

I want to provide my work ethic and expertise to [reference the industry and market the company is in]. Moreover, I strongly believe that I can become a critical member, as I am equipped with [include the most relevant skills to the position you are applying for]. Additionally, my experience and practical work within the industry includes, [list your most relevant job history and succinctly describe the high level value you provided].

[The company] has always attracted me through their successful history of [list their services]. [In this paragraph, write what attracted you to the company, while pinpointing the value it created to its market].

Therefore, I want to participate in sustaining value creation with [the company] because the company’s culture has been able to leverage their resources and capabilities, maximizing the greatest utility for all its stakeholders. Nevertheless, if the interest is mutual, you can contact me via [cell-phone number] or at [your e-mail].  In conclusion, I wanted to thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to meeting with you in the near future.

Sincerely,

[Your Full Name]
Enclosed Resume

Takeaway:
A professional cover letter would keep the integrity of the first impression of your application. A well written cover letter can also provide stability to your resume, breaking barriers for possible interviews.
